Who Am i?
Oh man, what a loaded question. I can start with the basics, that seems safe.
I think who you are is defined by the choices you make, when you choose to listen, when you choose to help, when you choose to fight. The people that you choose to care for, the things that make you feel, the mistakes you make, the days when you wanted to give up but didn't, the actions you take when no one is watching. The moment of stillness in a busy day that you steel for yourself. Your favorite song that you sing at the top of your lungs. The dogs you pet, the fun you make, the things that bring you joy. The actions you take as the highest version of yourself. The grace and beauty you allow your humaneness. The way you speak to yourself. The way you listen to others. The love you create and the beauty you foster.
At least those are the things that make me who I am. Who make the people I love, who they are. Those are the things that we grant very few the opportunity to see.
values & Passions
Another piece to answering that impossible question is our values and passions.
I can easily list my values; people, education, development, wellness, adventure, growth, change, God, service, creativity & love.
My passions are the things I do, and more importantly the decisions I make in alignment with self. I love to make a meal for the people I love, I love dedicating time & energy to my health, I love the high of jumping out of helicopters or swimming with sharks. I love; building, learning, growing, exploring, sharing, changing, creating, and trusting in God. I love being of service on any level, I love creating, and most of all, I love loving.
There goes my attempt at answering an impossible question. I hope it gives you a chance to get to know me a little bit better.
What Im doing
The other part of who I am, is what I do. Not necessarily my job but more how I fill my time.
My daily life looks different everyday, and I love that. It is part of what I hope to share with you. But what I consistently do is travel full-time. Build my life resume. Try new things. Priorities health. Seek new sights. Foster new relationships & step outside my comfort zone.
Something I have given a lot of thought to, what will it mean to look at this experience of full time traveling as a success?
Currently, my answer to this makes my ego really uncomfortable as I am in no way living in by societies definition of success, and honestly, I was barely living by mine either, but by taking this terrifying step into the unknown, I am honoring that.
If I had to define success I would say that it is; living in alignment with self & enjoying the journey.
I am sure there are more eloquent ways of describing success but none of them encompass how I was feeling a few short months ago when I was living a more traditional life. When at 23, I had a college degree, full-time employment, a 401(k), some social events on the calendar, and a vacation planned a few times a year. Gosh that life was so beautiful but it was not my truth.
So leaving all that behind I am stepping into my definition of success. I know that by doing that there is no way I will ever regret this time or my decisions.
For taking some time to get to know me. I hope this answered some of your questions, even if I don't have the most orthodox answers. Please stay in touch!
