Sasha Rose

Hello! Thanks for taking some time to learn more about me!
I am a twenty-something year old girl, who decided to quit her job and sell everything to become a full-time traveler, in pursuit of living a life less ordinary.

Basically, I have spent my life dreaming about all the places, faces, experiences, art & architecture around the world. Of course, I did this from the safety of the little town where I grew up. I have always had a calling to do
So far, this entire process has been hard! It has taken a lot of discipline and commitment in the pursuit of excellence. Its been lonely, it's been painful, it's been terrifying. I have walked a way from a lot of the comfort I depended on and it has not always felt worth it. On top of that, I am not always sure that this is the right decision. All I know, is that if I continue to make decisions in alignment with self, I will not be sorry in 10 years.

That is until I experience those moments- watching the sun rise over the Mayan Ruins in
Mexico, or curled up with a book in a cozy cafe in England, or diving with hammerhead sharks in the Galapagos.
So I want to use this space to share all my experiences, those moments when I feel most alive and those days when I am full of doubt.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I would love to hear from you!

A life less ordinary

Before I left for this new adventure, I set some intentions for what it is I wanted from my travels:

To live like a local, experiencing new cultures.
Step out of my comfort zone ... & then do it again.
Try new things, even if I am scare & become a world student.
Meet new people & listen with an open mind to their stories.
Create, change & explore, living in alignment.
Not let life pass me by, living a life less ordinary.

What even is a life resume?

In short, my life resume is a collection of moments and experiences that have shaped me into who I am.

There was this day, when I was in college when I had to create an academic resume for some reason or another. While academic accomplishments were something I have been collecting since I can remember, my resume didn't read like the person I wanted to put forth into the world. It was then, as I sat there looking at the 'most important things I've accomplished' my anxiety set in. I knew that the person on that piece of paper would be able to find a stable job, thanks to the privilege of growing up the way I did and the opportunities I had. I realized though, I would never really be living as my most authentic self, if anyone who saw this resume thought of me as a good person to hire. So that's when I knew I needed to make some changes. A lot of sleepless nights, deep conversations & time reflecting inward took place after that & from it all my life resume was born. Somehow, this one simple assignment became the wake up call I needed to kick start this new chapter in my life.
